Our Story

Les Aldrich Music first opened its doors as a music shop in North London’s Muswell Hill in May 1945, although our roots in Muswell Hill date back over 100 years.

In 2013, Ian Rosenblatt became the owner of Les Aldrich. Ian had been a customer at the shop for 25 years, and when the previous owner mentioned to him in April 2013 that he was thinking of closing the shop, Ian decided to buy it.

As the oldest music shop in North London, Les Aldrich Music was the home to music tuition, sheet music, CD and vinyl releases, instrument repairs, and was often the place where many musicians found their first instrument.

In April 2023, Les Aldrich Music ended it’s long running history as a music shop and began an exciting new chapter.

Run by our team of professional musicians, Les Aldrich Music now offers a variety of music tuition, expert instrument repairs and studio hire.
