I’m a professional trombonist and enthusiastic teacher based in Finsbury Park (N4 2QH), I teach the trombone and trumpet at all levels and can also teach music theory up to grade 5. I am the trombone section tutor for the National Youth Wind Ensemble of Great Britain and the brass section tutor for Harpenden Musicale Young Artists’ Symphony Orchestra.

I studied the trombone at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, and at Boston University, USA, and freelance with some of the UK’s leading orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic Orchestras.

I am happy to travel to pupils’ homes for lessons.

I am the principal trombone of the Irish Guards Band. I have 17 years brass teaching experience and have taught all ability ranges from beginners to diploma pupils, on various brass instruments from Trumpet to Tuba.

I have taught in a number of private schools and am happy to travel to teach in pupils’ own homes. I currently conduct 2 local community brass bands.

My lessons are fun and engaging and I like my pupils to progress through positive encouragement and guidance.

I charge £25 for one hour or £15 for 30 mins and I can visit you to teach.

I am an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of the French Horn, Tenor Horn, Trumpet and Piano based in Muswell Hill. I also teach music theory up to grade 8 standard.

My principal instrument is the French Horn. As an undergraduate, I studied Music at King’s College London. While at King’s, I played for the King’s College London Symphony Orchestra. I have also played with various student orchestras including the National Youth Chamber Orchestra of Great Britain and have performed as a soloist with various London orchestras and ensembles. I have been awarded a scholarship to study for a master’s in Orchestral Performance on the French Horn at the Royal Academy of Music where I will be starting postgraduate studies in September 2013.

As a pianist, I teach a range of styles of music, including classical piano and contemporary pop/rock accompaniment.

I currently teach general brass (trumpet, horn, trombone) at Fulham Prep School and for Sutton Music Service. I have ten years teaching experience, both privately and in schools. I taught french horn at James Allen’s Girl’s School from 2005-10 during which time I took a two students from their first note to getting a distinction in their Grade 8. I also teach privately in London. I have experience in ensemble coaching with Dulwich Youth Orchestra, James Allen’s Girls’ School Orchestra and South London Symphony Orchestra. I was an instrumental coach on the Royal College of Music Summer School in 2004 and I was involved in educational workshops in London nursery schools between 2001 and 2004 with my wind quintet.

I am a successful freelance french horn player, I play with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and many others. I also play on recording sessions, recently for Kanye West and Sting.I am also a singer songwriter with lots of experience playing in bands. Making my own music has always been very important to me.
